We have curated the best Sandakphu trek route. The best route for the Sandakphu trek is from Bagdogra Airport or NJP station and a 105 km drive to Dhotrey, which is our base camp. From Dhotray, it is a trek to Tumling, for 3 hours. Next is a long trek of 13 km from Tumling to Kali Pokhri, which will take nearly 5 hours. Next up is a trek of 6 km from Kalipokhri to Sandakphu will take 4 hours at an altitude of 11,900 ft. From here on, it is the return from Sandakphu to Srikhola, with a long trek for 5 hours to cover 12 km, and finally, it will be a drive from Srikhola to NJP/Bagdogra Airport to cover 130 km, which will take nearly 6 hours.
Sandakphu Phalut trekking route passes through the popular Singalila National Park, with the starting point at Dhotrey and continues till you trek and reach Gairibas. After this, you trek for another 6 km from Gairibas to reach Kalipokhri. From Kalipokhri, you trek to Sandakphu, on a flat terrain until you trek to Bikeybhajan. From Sandakphu, it is a 32 km trekking trail which is quite flat, with slight ascents throughout the trek. After you trek from Phalut, back to Gorkhey, the trekking trail is quite flat, which ends this long trek after you reach Srikhola.
